7. faulty goods


A purchaser is entitled to expect that new items purchased will be fully functional, and is entitled to a 

	replacement if the item given is faulty (although not the option of their money back)



second-hand goods are purchased as-is (i.e. no right to repairs or replacement), unless the seller makes 

	statements that are not true.

	- the contract is for a functional item. until a functional item has been supplied the contract has

	not been fulfilled. there is no automatic right to change one's mind and get a refund
